Emily Bronte was born in 1818 in West Yorkshire, England. She was the fifth daughter of Patrick Bronte and Maria Bronte, and she was a member of the literary family known as the Bronte sisters.
Her famous sisters included renowned authors like Charlotte Bronte and Anne Bronte.
Emily had the opportunity to receive education and she enjoyed reading from a young age.
She had a free-spirited personality and loved being in nature and engaging with imaginative stories.
She primarily engaged in creative activities focused on poetry and published a collection of poems called ‘Poems by Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell’ with her siblings through self-publication.
However, her most famous work is the novel ‘Wuthering Heights.’
This work was published anonymously in 1847.
Initially, it received negative reviews from critics, but later it gained recognition and is now considered a literary masterpiece.
